Tofu with sesame and honey
Sesame seeds are versatile and can be used in both sweet and savory dishes due to their specific but delicate taste.
We have prepared a recipe that does not contain meat, but is full of great Asian flavors: tofu with sesame and honey.
1 block of drained firm tofu, diced
1+1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of red pepper powder
3+1 spoons of honey
2 teaspoons oyster sauce
½ teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
2 teaspoons of cornstarch
2 tablespoons sesame seeds Odlično
Heat the oven to 190° C. Oil a baking tray or use paper or silicone for baking.
Mix a spoonful of soy sauce, red pepper, 3 spoons of honey, oyster sauce, salt, pepper, rice vinegar and sesame oil in a bowl. Gently fold in the tofu cubes. Cover and marinate for about 15 minutes.
Spread the marinated tofu evenly on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 20 minutes. Turn the tofu and bake for another 20 minutes until it has a nice golden brown crust.
Mix a spoonful of honey and a spoonful of soy sauce into the remaining marinade and add cornstarch.
Heat the marinade in a saucepan over medium heat and slowly add the tofu cubes. Boil the mixture quickly until it thickens. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with rice.
